Plum Jelly

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of ripe plums, pitted and chopped
  • 3 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1 pouch of liquid pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chopped plums, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Once boiling, stir in the liquid pectin and continue to boil for 1 minute.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and skim off any foam from the surface of the jelly.
  5. Pour the hot jelly into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch of headspace.
  6. Seal the jars with lids and rings, then process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
  7. Allow the jelly to cool and set before serving.
