Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 lbs plums, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Arrange the plum halves over the crust.
  3. Sprinkle the plums with 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the plums are tender.
  5. Let the tart cool before serving.
