Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons loose black tea leaves
- 1/2 cup yak butter
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add 2 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves to the boiling water and let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a separate container and discard the tea leaves.
- Return the strained tea to the pot and place it over medium heat.
- Add 1/2 cup of yak butter, 1/2 cup of whole milk, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the tea.
- Whisk the mixture vigorously until the butter is fully melted and the tea becomes frothy.
- Pour the butter tea into cups and serve hot.
