ポエポエプディング (Po'e Po'e Pudding) is a traditional dessert from Pascuense (Easter Island) cuisine. This delicious pudding is made with tropical fruits and is a perfect way to end a meal with a taste of the island.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup grated sweet potato
- 1 cup grated pumpkin
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, grated sweet potato, grated pumpkin, grated coconut, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- Gradually stir in the coconut milk and regular milk until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
- Cover the dish with foil and steam on the stovetop for 30 minutes, or until the pudding is set.
- Let the pudding cool before serving.
