Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the warm milk and eggs, then whisk until smooth.
  3. Cover the bowl and let the batter rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a poffertjes pan over medium heat and brush with melted butter.
  5. Pour the batter into the pan, filling each dimple halfway.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  8. Serve poffertjes with powdered sugar and butter.
