Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stuff the bell peppers with the meat and rice mixture.
  5. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Place the stuffed bell peppers in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce and water. Pour the mixture over the stuffed bell peppers in the skillet.
  7. Cover the skillet and let the peppers simmer for 30 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked and the peppers are tender.
  8. Remove the stuffed bell peppers from the skillet and serve hot.
