Ingredients
- 1 lb pork shoulder, cubed
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed
- 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the pork shoulder, beef stew meat, and kielbasa sausage over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the sauerkraut, shredded cabbage, and sliced mushrooms.
- Pour in the beef broth and tomato sauce, then add the bay leaves and caraway seeds. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the pot and simmer the stew over low heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
