Ingredients
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Pinch of salt
- 12 plums, pitted and halved
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and salt to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions and flatten each portion in your hand.
- Place a plum half in the center of each flattened dough portion and shape the dough around the plum to form a dumpling.
- In a pot of boiling water, carefully drop the dumplings and cook for 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface.
- In a separate pan, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Roll the cooked dumplings in the sugar mixture to coat.
- Sprinkle the dumplings with bread crumbs before serving.
