- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness.

- Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish and top each breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
