Ingredients
- 6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 200g bacon, diced
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 4 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onions until they are soft and translucent. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the cooked bacon and onions. Season with salt and pepper.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, bacon, and onions.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and pour them over the layered potatoes, bacon, and onions.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
