Ingredients
- 4 pomfret fish, cleaned and scored
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- Salt to taste
- Oil for shallow frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, and salt to form a marinade.
- Apply the marinade to the scored pomfret fish, ensuring it coats the fish inside the scores as well.
- Marinate the fish for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying.
- Coat the marinated fish with rice flour and shallow fry until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the fried fish from the pan and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with sliced onions, lemon wedges, and a side of coconut chutney.
