Ingredients
- 2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Greek honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the walnuts, flour, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and thick. Stir in the melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
