Ingredients

  • 1 cup urad dal flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the urad dal flour, cumin seeds, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into thin circles.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the poppadoms until they puff up and turn golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
