Poppadom
Poppadom is a popular Indian crispy snack that is perfect for munching on its own or as an accompaniment to a meal.
Ingredients
- 1 cup urad dal flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the urad dal flour, cumin seeds, black pepper, and salt.
- Add water gradually and knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into thin circles.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the poppadoms until they puff up and turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
