Ingredients
- 1 cup poppy seeds
- 1 cup cottage cheese (paneer)
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon mustard oil
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Instructions
- Soak the poppy seeds in water for 1-2 hours, then grind them into a fine paste.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the ginger paste, green chilies, and turmeric powder. Sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the poppy seed paste and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the cottage cheese (paneer) and cook for another 5-7 minutes, adding water as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
- Once the dish is cooked, remove from heat and serve hot.
