Ingredients

  • 1 cup poppy seeds
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (paneer)
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon mustard oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Soak the poppy seeds in water for 1-2 hours, then grind them into a fine paste.
  2. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the ginger paste, green chilies, and turmeric powder. Sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the poppy seed paste and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the cottage cheese (paneer) and cook for another 5-7 minutes, adding water as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
  6. Once the dish is cooked, remove from heat and serve hot.
