Ingredients

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Rub the mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  3. Place the chopped onion and minced garlic in the bottom of a roasting pan. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top.
  4. Pour the chicken broth into the pan.
  5. Cover the roasting pan with foil and roast in the preheated oven for 3 hours.
  6. Remove the foil and continue roasting for an additional hour, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  7. Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before shredding with two forks.
  8. Serve the shredded pork shoulder with your favorite sides and enjoy!
