Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork, cut into small pieces
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 10-12 dry red chilies
  • 1-inch ginger, chopped
  • 8-10 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Grind the dry red chilies, ginger, garlic, and cumin seeds to a fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  3. Add the ground masala paste and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the pork pieces, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in the vinegar and bring the mixture to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer for 1.5-2 hours until the pork is tender and the gravy thickens.
  6. Adjust the seasoning and serve hot with steamed rice or bread.
