Pork Sorpotel Sliders
Pork Sorpotel Sliders are a delicious and spicy appetizer from the Goan Catholic Cuisine. These sliders are packed with flavor and are perfect for serving at parties or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pork, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 10-12 dry red chilies
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 8-10 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp black peppercorns
- Salt to taste
- 12 slider buns
Instructions
- In a pot, combine the pork, vinegar, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- In a blender, combine the dry red chilies, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and black peppercorns. Blend into a smooth paste.
- After the pork has simmered for 1 hour, add the spice paste and salt to the pot. Cook for an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pork is tender and the flavors are well combined.
- Toast the slider buns and assemble the sliders with the pork sorpotel filling.
