Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup axone (fermented soybean) sauce
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
  2. Add the pork cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in the axone sauce, green chilies, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the pork with the sauce and spices.
  4. Cover the pan and let the pork cook on low heat for about 45-50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is tender and the flavors are well combined.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or bread.
