Poromakkarakastike (reindeer Sausage Stew)
Poromakkarakastike, or Reindeer Sausage Stew, is a traditional dish from the Sami people of northern Scandinavia. This hearty stew is perfect for warming up on cold winter days and is packed with the flavors of the Arctic.

Ingredients
- 500g reindeer sausage, sliced
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 1 liter beef or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the reindeer sausage over medium heat.
- Add the onions, carrots, and potatoes to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the flour and water to make a slurry. Stir the slurry into the stew to thicken.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
