Portoroz Grilled Sea Bream (Portoroški Grilovani Orada)
Portoroški Grilovani Orada, or Portoroz Grilled Sea Bream, is a traditional Slovenian dish that showcases the fresh flavors of the Adriatic Sea. This simple and delicious recipe is perfect for a summer barbecue or a special dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 whole sea bream, cleaned and scaled
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Make 3 diagonal cuts on each side of the sea bream.
- Stuff the cavity of the fish with lemon slices and minced garlic.
- Brush the fish with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the sea bream for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
