Ingredients

  • 4 links of Portuguese sausage (Alheira)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the diced red bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove the casing from the Portuguese sausage and crumble the meat into the skillet.
  5. Cook the sausage, stirring occasionally, until it is fully cooked and browned.
  6. Sprinkle the paprika over the sausage and vegetables, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat and serve hot.
