Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and grated
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 lb bryndza cheese, crumbled
- 4 slices of bacon, diced
Instructions
- Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out the excess moisture.
- In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, flour, egg, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into dumplings.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface, about 3-4 minutes.
- While the dumplings are cooking, fry the diced bacon in a skillet until crispy.
- Drain the cooked dumplings and place them in a serving dish. Top with crumbled bryndza cheese and crispy bacon.
