Ingredients
- 6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups grated Gruyère cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and minced garlic over medium heat until it simmers. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle half of the grated Gruyère cheese over the potatoes.
- Pour half of the garlic-infused cream over the cheese and potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and cream.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let the Potato Gratin rest for 10 minutes before serving.
