Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes, diced
- 1 cup green peas
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter) or oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste, and sauté for a minute.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the ghee separates from the masala.
- Add the turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
- Add the diced potatoes and green peas. Mix well, cover the pan, and cook until the potatoes are tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
