Potato Puree (gromperenzpüree)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900g) potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 4 tbsp (60g) butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the milk and butter.
  3. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
