Potato Puree, known as Gromperenzpüree in Luxembourg, is a classic comfort food dish that is simple to make and incredibly delicious. This creamy and smooth puree is the perfect side dish to accompany a variety of main courses.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900g) potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 4 tbsp (60g) butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the milk and butter.
- Mash the potatoes using a potato masher until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
