Ingredients
- 1.5 kg pork shoulder
- 2 tsp caraway seeds
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
- In a small bowl, mix together the caraway seeds, paprika, salt, pepper, and minced garlic to create a spice rub.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Place the sliced onions in the bottom of a roasting pan and pour the chicken broth over them.
- Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions in the roasting pan.
- Cover the roasting pan with foil and roast in the preheated oven for 1.5 hours.
- Remove the foil and continue roasting for another 30 minutes, or until the pork is golden brown and tender.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the Prague Castle Roast Pork with the roasted onions and pan juices.
