Prawn Masala

Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the grated ginger and minced garlic, and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook for a minute.
  4. Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add the cleaned prawns and cook for 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
