Prawn Peri Peri Skewers (Espetadas de Camarão Peri Peri)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg large prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup peri peri sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the peri peri sauce, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the prawns to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Thread the marinated prawns onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating with lemon wedges.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  5. Grill the prawn skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve hot with extra peri peri sauce on the side.
