Prawn Thoran (Stir-Fried Prawns)

Ingredients

  • 500g fresh prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add chopped onion and green chilies, sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Add the cleaned prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink.
  5. Add grated coconut and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
