Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and then mix in the melted butter, buttermilk, and chopped prunes.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
