Ingredients

  • 2 cups gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, chopped coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually to form a smooth and thick batter.
  3. Spread the batter on a greased plate and steam for 10 minutes.
  4. Once cooled, cut the steamed batter into small diamond-shaped pieces.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the pieces until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  7. पुडची वडी (Pudachi Vadi) is ready to be served.
