Pudina Chutney (zesty Mint Chutney)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the mint leaves, cilantro, green chilies, onion, cumin seeds, sugar, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Add a little water and blend to a smooth paste, adding more water if needed to reach the desired consistency.
  3. Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  4. Refrigerate the chutney for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
