Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Water, as needed

Instructions

  1. Wash the mint and coriander leaves thoroughly and drain any excess water.
  2. In a blender, combine the mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, chopped onion, cumin seeds, sugar, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Add a little water to facilitate blending and blend until smooth.
  4. Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
