Ingredients
- 2 cups puffed rice
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine puffed rice, gram flour, chopped onion, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt.
- Add water gradually and mix to form a thick batter. The batter should coat the puffed rice evenly.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until the fritters are golden and crispy.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the Puffed Rice Fritters hot with chutney or ketchup.
