Ingredients

  • 2 cups puffed rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  3. Next, add the mixed vegetables, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  4. Now, add the puffed rice and mix well with the vegetables and spices. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Season with salt and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
