Pule me Patate, or Arbëreshë Chicken and Potato Bake, is a traditional dish from the Arbëreshë cuisine, which is a unique blend of Italian and Albanian flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano.
- In a large baking dish, arrange the sliced potatoes, onions, and minced garlic.
- Place the seasoned chicken thighs on top of the potato mixture.
- Drizzle the olive oil and chicken broth over the chicken and potatoes.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and the potatoes are tender.
- Serve the Pule me Patate hot and enjoy!
