Ingredients
- 1 package of phyllo dough
- 2 cups grated pumpkin
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the grated pumpkin, chopped walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter. Repeat with 5 more sheets, layering each one on top of the other.
- Spread half of the pumpkin mixture over the layered phyllo dough.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining phyllo dough and pumpkin mixture.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the layered pastry into squares or triangles.
- Place the pastry on a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Drizzle the honey over the warm pastry and let it cool slightly before serving.
