Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked short-grain rice
  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 1 cup julienned cucumber
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup sliced beef or tofu for vegetarian option
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables and set aside.
  2. Cook the beef or tofu in a pan with vegetable oil, garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Cook the eggs sunny-side up or to your preference.
  4. In a small bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil to make the bibimbap sauce.
  5. Divide the cooked rice into 4 bowls. Arrange the vegetables, beef or tofu, and eggs on top of the rice.
  6. Drizzle the bibimbap sauce over the ingredients in each bowl.
  7. Gently mix everything together before eating.
