Ingredients
- 4 mackerel fillets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup rice wine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sugar, rice wine, garlic, ginger, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Place the mackerel fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated mackerel fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and add chopped green onions. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, basting the mackerel with the sauce occasionally.
