Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cups finely chopped Napa cabbage

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 package of dumpling wrappers
  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cups sliced shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced onion
  • 1 cup sliced zucchini
  • 1 cup baby spinach

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground pork, Napa cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the dumpling filling.
  2. Place a small amount of the filling onto each dumpling wrapper, then fold and seal the edges to form dumplings.
  3. In a large pot, bring the broth to a boil and add the mushrooms, carrots, onion, and zucchini.
  4. Gently place the dumplings into the pot and let them cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the baby spinach and let it wilt for a minute before serving the hot pot.
