Ingredients
- 4 whole fish (such as mackerel or trout)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Clean the fish and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice wine, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Season the fish with salt and pepper, then brush the soy sauce mixture onto both sides of the fish.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
- Place the fish on the grill pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Serve the grilled fish hot, garnished with sliced green onions and a side of steamed rice.
