평양식 냉이 만두 (Pyongyang-style Naengi Mandu) is a traditional North Korean dish that features a delicious combination of naengi (shepherd's purse) and savory dumplings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup finely chopped naengi (shepherd's purse)
- 1 cup ground pork
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package round dumpling wrappers
- Water for sealing dumplings
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the chopped naengi, ground pork, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Place a small amount of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and pleat to seal the dumplings.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then add the dumplings and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot.
