Qalgiq Salmon Salad, also known as Arctic Salmon Salad, is a traditional dish from Chukchi Cuisine. This refreshing and nutritious salad is perfect for a light and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Arctic salmon fillet, cooked and flaked
- 2 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup Kalamata olives
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, cucumber, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and Kalamata olives.
- Add the flaked Arctic salmon and crumbled feta cheese to the bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients.
- Divide the salad into serving plates and serve immediately.
