Qangiq Mango Sorbet, also known as Frozen Mango Sorbet, is a refreshing and tangy dessert that originates from Chukchi Cuisine. This simple and delicious recipe is perfect for hot summer days and can be made with just a few ingredients.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
- Place the diced mangoes in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Add the cooled sugar syrup and lime juice to the mango puree and blend until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
- Every 30 minutes, take the dish out of the freezer and stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals. Repeat this process for about 3-4 hours, or until the sorbet is firm and scoopable.
- Serve the Qangiq Mango Sorbet in chilled bowls and enjoy!
