Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic, ground lamb, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until the lamb is browned and the spices are fragrant, about 8-10 minutes.
