Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1 cup sliced snow peas
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
- Add the carrots, bell peppers, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
- Return the tofu to the skillet and add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and vegetable broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the tofu and vegetables are fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the Qing Cai Hong Shao Dou Fu hot with steamed rice.
