Quetta Mutton Karahi is a traditional dish from Muhajir Cuisine, known for its rich and aromatic flavors. This recipe brings together tender mutton pieces with a blend of spices, creating a mouthwatering dish that is perfect for special occasions or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 kg mutton, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup ghee or oil
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat ghee or oil in a karahi or deep pan.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and mutton pieces. Cook until mutton changes color.
- Then add chopped tomatoes, yogurt, and all the spices. Mix well.
- Cover and cook on low heat until the mutton is tender and the oil separates.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chilies.
- Serve hot with naan or roti.
