Quetta Mutton Sajji (کوئٹہ مٹن سجی)
Quetta Mutton Sajji is a traditional dish from the Muhajir Cuisine, known for its rich and aromatic flavors. This dish is a must-try for mutton lovers, as it is marinated with a blend of spices and then slow-cooked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 whole mutton, cleaned and gutted
- 2 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 cup yogurt
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 4-5 skewers
Instructions
- Make deep cuts in the mutton and rub it with red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, yogurt, lemon juice, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Skewer the marinated mutton and cook it over a low flame, turning occasionally, until it is tender and cooked through.
- Once cooked, serve the Quetta Mutton Sajji hot with naan or rice.
