Quetta Quetta Naan (کوئٹہ نان)
Quetta Quetta Naan is a traditional Muhajir Cuisine bread that is popular for its soft texture and delicious flavor. This naan is perfect to serve with a variety of curries and kebabs.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
- Warm water, as needed
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
- Add the yogurt, milk, and ghee. Mix well.
- Slowly add warm water and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Roll out each ball into a circle or oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or tava over medium heat.
- Place the rolled naan on the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown spots appear.
- Brush with ghee or butter before serving.
