Quetta Sajji (کوئٹہ سجی)
Quetta Sajji is a traditional dish from the Muhajir Cuisine, known for its rich and flavorful taste. This dish is a popular choice for special occasions and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cleaned and marinated
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 4 large skewers
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Mix red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, and lemon juice to make a marinade.
- Apply the marinade all over the chicken, including inside the cavity.
- Thread the chicken onto the skewers, securing the wings and legs tightly.
- Place the skewered chicken in the preheated oven and roast for 2 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
